Coronavirus (COVID-19) parking advice
Our car parks will remain open 24 hours a day (excluding Water Gardens (North) Hemel Hempstead, Monday to Sunday, 6am to 6pm). We advise customers to pay by phone if possible and by contactless card if not. As with touching any other street furniture, we recommend washing or sanitising your hands after use.
The postponed price changes in our car parks (originally set to be introduced on 6 April 2020) will now take effect on 8 June 2020.
We recommend that pay and park payment is made by contactless card. As with touching any other street furniture, we recommend washing or sanitising your hands after use.
Please respect other road users by keeping to any time limits in parking bays and keep disabled bays clear for Blue Badge holders.
Residential areas (including Controlled Parking Zones)
To ensure that there is as much kerb space for residents self-isolating as possible, we have paused enforcing restrictions in residential areas, including Controlled Parking Zones (CPZs). However, as the lockdown is eased, we will be reviewing the situation.
Please park respectfully and ensure that your vehicle does not obstruct access to refuse vehicles or emergency vehicles that may be needed by one of your neighbours.
If you have a street or neighbourhood WhatsApp group, Facebook or similar, please use these to help each other find enough safe parking.
The postponed price changes in the Controlled Parking Zones, originally planned to be introduced on 6 April 2020, will now take effect from 8 June 2020.
The introduction of the new O and D controlled Parking Zones in Apsley, originally planned to be introduced on 6 April 2020, will now be in operation from 8 June 2020. Residents eligible to purchase permits will receive a letter on 21 or 22 May 2020. Please read the letter carefully and ensure that you select 8 June as your permit start date. Help can be found on our Resident parking permits page, where you can find a “how to” guide. If you require further guidance, please email email@example.com.
Penalty Charge Notice, permit and visitor parking sessions
Please address queries concerning Penalty Charge Notices (PCNs/parking tickets), resident permits and visitor parking sessions to firstname.lastname@example.org or telephone 01908 223505. Our enforcement contactor will continue to respond for as long as it can. As our colleagues will be working from home we request your understanding if any calls are interrupted by children or other family sounds.
Utilities that need to undertake emergency works should inform us at email@example.com. We will not be issuing suspension notices or charging. Where these works are taking place, Parking Services will be unable to issue Penalty Charge Notices or remove vehicles.
Until further notice, we will not be responding to requests for new parking restrictions, additional enforcement, neighbour disputes concerning parking, or any other non-critical requests.
