Grant funding for businesses
The Government is using local councils to pay grants to businesses in line with schemes they have set up.
Financial support for the period 5 November to 1 December 2020 (during the national lockdown)
Grants are available for businesses that have been ordered to close as part of the national restrictions. Find out more about the financial support available during the national lockdown (5 November to 2 December 2020).
Financial support for the periods from 2 December 2020 (during tier restrictions and the national lockdown - stay at home)
Grants are available for businesses that have been ordered to close, or have been able to remain open but are severely impacted by the tier restrictions.

Closed schemes
The following schemes all provided support to businesses earlier in the year, but are now closed.
Small business support grants and Retail, Hospitality and Leisure support grants
We paid out £26 million in grants to eligible business rate payers, for more than 1,900 properties in Dacorum under these schemes.
Local Authority discretionary business grants
We paid out £1.4 million in grants to 190 businesses under this scheme.
